Ewing Canandaigua Forum Speaker Series with Bill Moyers and Michael Winship DESCRIPTION:Award-winning journalist and commentator Bill Moyers and political columnist Michael Winship will open the 2019-20 George M. Ewing Canandaigua Forum speaker series on Sunday\, Sept. 22\, at 4 p.m. in the Student Center Auditorium.\n\n \n\nEvan Dawson\, host of WXXI's "Connections" talk show\, will serve as the moderator for the event\, titled "The State of our Union and its Peoples."\n\n \n\nThe ninth annual speaker series also includes:\n\n \n Mark Shields\, who serves as a political analyst and commentator on PBS NewsHour\; he will analyze the current political scene with a talk on Sunday\, Oct. 6.\n\n G. Peter Jemison\, artist and historic site manager at the Ganondagan State Historic Site in Victor\, and Don Ragona\, director of development and house counsel for the Native American Rights Fund in Colorado\; they will give a talk on Sunday\, Nov. 10 on the eve of the anniversary of the signing of the Canandaigua Treaty by United States and the six nations of the Iroquois Confederacy.\n\n Forrest Pritchard\, organic farmer and author of "Gaining Ground\, A Story of Farmer's Markets\, Local Food and Saving the Family Farm"\; he will give a talk on Sunday\, Jan. 26 on sustainable agriculture and family farms.\n\n \n\nSeason tickets are $80 for general admission for all four events.
