Vineyard Walk & Talk
VINEYARD WALK & TALK FEATURING RIESLING & CABERNET FRANC
Heron Hill Tasting Room at Bristol in Canandaigua, NY
Sundays, 1pm and 3pm
Approximate duration: 45 minutes
Cost: $15 per person includes tasting 4 wines
Walk into the vineyard life! Before tasting wines, enjoy a sensory immersion strolling through vineyards of Cabernet Franc and Riesling. You will gain a better understanding of the growing cycle, learn first hand about the current stages of grapes, and find out why we have so much pride for our Ingle Vineyard wines. Your guide for the vineyard walk and tasting is Andrew Mavromatis -- a Finger Lakes Community College Viticulture student.
Following the vineyard tour, Andrew will pour two different Rieslings, side-by-side, along with two different Cabernet Francs during a guided sit-down tasting.
Group size is limited to 6 people; please make a reservation online or call the Heron Hill Tasting Room at Bristol. This tasting experience happens rain or shine. Please wear comfortable footwear and note the vineyards may be muddy depending on the weather.
Andrew Mavromatis is a second year Viticulture student at Finger Lakes Community College. He has worked in the cellar at Heron Hill Winery and has actively participated in trimming, tying, mowing, harvest and planting in Heron Hill’s vineyards. His love of being outdoors drew Andrew to viticulture work.
