Parkinsons Support Group Meeting
The Parkinsons Support Group of the Finger Lakes will hold their monthly meeting on Wednesday March 29, 1 pm at Wood Library (134 N. Main Street, Canandaigua).
Fred Marshall, Director of Strong Hospital Memory Care Program and author of numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters dealing with the natural history and therapeutics of a variety of neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease, will speak on the topic "Memory Issues for PD Patients". According to Dr. Marshall, the same brain changes that lead to motor symptoms can also result in slowness in memory and thinking for a Parkinson's Disease patient. Free and open to the public.
