MODERATE ISLAM: Dialogue and Understanding

A Community Event sponsored by the First Congregational Church. Dr. Khalid and Sabeeha Rehman will be spending the weekend leading discussions, answering questions and generally educating participants about moderate Islamic religion. Sabeeha wrote the memoir titled “Threading My Prayer Rug: One Woman’s Journey from Pakistani Muslim to American Muslim,” one of Booklist’s top ten religion and spirituality books of 2016. Together they are actively working on building bridges between Muslims and people of other faiths. They were featured guest speakers at the Chautauqua Institute in 2016 and have been invited to return for 2017.
