Intro to Mosaics

Taught by Karen Strapp, this workshop will teach the basic techniques, tools and materials involved in creating mosaic artwork. It covers design, substrates, cutting material, adhesives and grouting.Students will be introduced to the direct method with a variety of materials and encouraged to experiment with color and texture. In the first week you explore possibilities and start creating. In the second week you finish the project and watch a grouting demonstration. You will take home grout to do that step at home.
