Hypertufa Workshop at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County
Hypertufa Workshop
- Thursday, August 22, 2019, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Hypertufa is an artificial stone that is made of materials mixed with Portland cement. It is much lighter than cement but can still withstand harsh weather conditions. It is primarily used as garden art and is fun and easy to make. Master Gardener Jeanne Totman will guide you through making a hypertufa leaf, or bowl, or mushroom.
Supplies needed:
- a board or piece of plywood that your project will fit on
- Two large garbage bags.
- Leaf project: a big leaf from your garden, such as hosta, rhubarb, squash or even burdock.
- Bowl project: a gallon size bowl or planter
- Mushroom project: embellishments for your mushroom, like glass pebbles, beads, small seashells, etc.
Please pre-register one week before the class you want to attend. When you register, please let us know which class you want to attend and what project you will be making. Call 585-394-3977 x 427 or email Nancy with your name, address, phone number, and project.
