Breakfast & Business Presentation About On-Call Legislation, "What Employers Need to Know"-To Be Rescheduled due to Weather
Chamber members are welcome to come hear from Kimberly K. Harding, Associate, at Nixon Peabody LLC, who will be discussing NY Department of Labor Proposes “On-Call” and “Call-In” Regulations at our Breakfast & Business event, "What employers need to know."
This past November, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced that the New York Department of Labor will advance regulations addressing “call-in” or “on-call” scheduling. The proposed regulations include employees being paid certain hours for: reporting for scheduled work, shifts not scheduled at least 14 days in advance, shifts that were cancelled within 72 hours, on-call time, required call-in within 72 hours of a proposed start time.
