Explore the basic principles and techniques of making stone tools. Learn about the appropriate stones to use and the tools needed to create items like spear points, arrowheads, knives and scrapers. |
Students will have hands-on instruction in percussion and pressure flaking techniques to produce their own tool. Quality chert provided. Hammer stones, antler billets, pressure flakers, leather pads and safety glasses will be available for use during class. Fee: $60 non-member/$52 member Space is limited to 6 participants.
