4th of July Parade in Canandaigua
Canandaigua, N.Y. - The City of Canandaigua is hosting its annual Fourth of July Celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2019. The celebration will include a parade, food vendors, and entertainment in Kershaw Park, concluding with a firework display in the evening (weather permitting). Applications to march in the 2019 parade are now available, and can be found on online. This year's theme is "Traveling through the Generations" - celebrating decades past and what made them special and memorable. Community groups, local businesses, elected officials, and community members are welcome to participate in the celebration by building floats, playing music, entertaining in a walking group, or driving a car during the parade. Judges will award trophies to entries with the most spirit, best floats, outstanding marching groups and more. The deadline to apply for participation in the parade is June 14, 2019.
