Annual Dinner & Membership Meeting
This is the Chamber’s premier event of the year! Attendees enjoy a cocktail hour, banquet-style dinner, networking, large silent auction, cash raffle, and door prize drawings. Highlights of what the Chamber has accomplished last year and the goals set for the following year are presented. Be there to congratulate outstanding businesses for the Tourism, Industry, Retail and Service awards. Those in attendance get to see the exciting Mr. /Mrs. /Ms. Canandaigua Award presentation, debut of the new Community Guide and Annual Report, and much more!
Anniversary Gala
The prestigious Anniversary Gala is an opportunity for the Chamber to show appreciation and recognize its members who understand the importance of remaining a member of the Chamber. Attendees enjoy a different keynote speaker each year, networking & social hour, raffles, awards presentation of milestone memberships, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a toast to the members.
Annual Ralph Sheridan Golf Classic
One of the most popular Chamber fundraisers is held annually to commemorate Ralph Sheridan who was a huge Canandaigua Chamber supporter and avid golfer. The tournament offers tons of prizes, putting contest, prize and cash raffles, hole in one contest, golf, range balls, prizes, cart, lunch & dinner. Tournament is played in foursomes with a two person scramble. All skill levels welcome to take part of fun day out on the links!
Canandaigua ATHENA Award Dinner
The Canandaigua Chamber hosted the first ATHENA award program in New York State back in 1985 with founding sponsor Randall Farnsworth Auto Group. The ATHENA Award program has grown to what it is today to recognize the accomplishments and leadership of an outstanding woman in our community. Each year a Canandaigua area woman is honored for her business and professional excellence; her community leadership; and for her commitment and assistance to other women. The Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce and the Canandaigua BPW work in cooperation to present the ATHENA Award annually.
Light Up Canandaigua!
A Canandaigua Christmas time celebration of lights! Each December, the Chamber coordinates this community event that showcases Canandaigua’s holiday magic. This event encourages Canandaigua to be vibrant with color during the holidays through a holiday lighting and decorating competition. The event kicks off with free bus rides, holiday cookies and toasty beverages offered to the public compliments of the Chamber. Bus riders become a part of the celebration by voting for the winners. Printed route maps are available in the Chambers Visitor Center and on www.CanandaiguaChamber.com after the kickoff to allow family and friends tour the lights at their convenience.
Chamber Mixers
One way businesses grow is by word of mouth. Chamber members and their employees are invited to these great networking opportunities. Gain business contacts, munch on some appetizers and drop your business card for a free raffle drawing courtesy of the mixer host. After hours mixers are held from 5:00-7:00pm and morning mixers from 7:30-9:30am. If your business would like to showcase your facility, celebrate an anniversary with the business community and host a mixer, contact the Chamber.
Breakfast & Business
Breakfast & Business is a new event that the Chamber is starting in 2008. These events give our members the opportunity to hear about projects and issues that are important to their business and our community. Breakfast & Business will take place 7:30-9:00 a.m. and will include a continental breakfast.
